Critiquing is the key to improvement. It may be painful and if you hate the work you just did, you may not even want to look at it anymore. But before tossing it aside, ask yourself. “If this was a preparation you did at the bench test, would you turn it in or work on it more?” Make sure you’ve improved it to the best of your ability before setting it aside.

Also, a tip though: Developing sharp eyes are as important as developing steady hands.
