This is a metal-ceramic preparation on an upper molar tooth. The buccal shoulder margin and the occlusal reduction has been already made. If you want to review those, refer the following page:

Step 1: Check Angulation and Placement of Guide Grooves
Align your handpiece along the long axis of the crown, maintain that direction and make 3 grooves.
Don’t bring the tip too close to the prospective area of your margins. We will make the margins as we connect the guide grooves later.
Step 2: Create Lingual Chamfer Margins
Make sure to maintain the angulation of the depth grooves (that’s what they’re for).
Bring your bur in as far interproximally as you can, without nicking the adjacent tooth.
