With today’s advanced materials, ceramic variants such as zirconia crowns can withstand high occlusal forces but same requirement with all ceramic crowns that it still has to have a uniform adequate bulk.

An all Ceramic proximal reduction is fairly easy because both of the lingual and buccal margins are shoulder margins. So all you have to do is to connect both of them using a shoulder bur (016 diameter flat end modified). The same process goes here as other crowns but the only difference is that you will use a shoulder bur all throughout when making the interproximal margins.

A full ceramic crown preparation involves an even 1.2mm shoulder margin all around the crown.
