Critiquing is the key to improvement. It’s time to check the mistakes that you made and reflect on how to not do it again on your next practice. It is a good habit to list everything down so that you will have a summary of the things you want to improve. Or better yet, take a look at the checklist found at the last part of this course. We provided you a list of features that you need to look for for your prep!
Take note, developing sharp eyes are as important as developing steady hands.
For upper incisors preparation, look for the following in particular.

- Sufficient lingual clearance & preserved cingulum
- Smooth continuous margin everywhere
- 2 plane labial reduction, nicely blended
- Prep nicely centered between #7 & 9
