Hello, Alyssa! Thank you so much for your help. I would like to ask you what bur to use to make the pulpal floor flat in amalgam preparation instead of 556 bur? A Bur set for Buffalo doesn’t have bur 56, it only has 2 rounds, 330, 245, 169. I used 556 and you said not to use it because it cuts too much. What is better to do? Thank you

You wouldn’t have ‘flattening’ as a separate step, you can do a GREAT prep with only #330. To make the floor as flat as possible make sure you’re maintaining depth while working, if you let your bur left up you’re rounding out your floor.
