APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Residency Status Preference will be given to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (green card holders), or those holding legal asylum or refugee status.
  • Only internet-based TOEFL (iBT) scores are accepted (No paper-based scores.)
  • To be considered for admissions, the program requires passage of NBDE Parts I and II or the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE).
  • The program requires three Letters of Evaluation

BENCH TEST INFORMATION:

The following items were asked at Iowa’s bench test:

  • Cl II – upper first molar, oblique ridge preserved
  • Crown prep – lower first molar FGC
  • Cl III central
  • They gave the design for everything
  • Cl II Ag restoration lower molar
  • Cl II composite restoration upper molar
  • Temporary crown

    Hands-on skill assessment including:
    Prosthodontics: Preparation of a posterior crown, fabrication of a provisional, and design of a removable partial denture.
    Operative: Restoration of class II composite
